The competition has provided a launch pad to superstar acts like Frisky and Mannish (2009 Finalists), Abandoman (2010 winners) and Jay Foreman (Best Newcomer 2009 and has toured with Dave Gorman) and created a thriving independent platform to celebrate the artform that is musical comedy. Since 2009 the competition has also played host to stars of the genre such as DAVID O'DOHERTY, BO BURNHAM, RUBBERBANDITS, MITCH BENN, PIPPA EVANS, TOM BASDEN, ISY SUTTIE, MR B THE GENTLEMAN RHYMER and many more.

The top 40 musical comedy acts were selected from online entries and are now battling it out in the quarter-finals at the Phoenix to get through to the Grand Final at The Bloomsbury Theatre on April 10th.
