Now in its seventh year, the WeGotTickets MCA has grown in stature to become an annual fixture in the comedy calendar and the place to see the UK's finest up and coming musical comedians alongside some of the best established acts of the genre on the circuit. The competition has provided a launch pad to superstar acts like Frisky and Mannish (2009 Finalists), Abandoman (2010 winners) and Jay Foreman (Best Newcomer 2009 and has toured with Dave Gorman) and created a thriving independent platform to celebrate the artform that is musical comedy. Since 2009 the competition has also played host to stars of the genre such as DAVID O'DOHERTY, BO BURNHAM, RUBBERBANDITS, MITCH BENN, PIPPA EVANS, TOM BASDEN, ISY SUTTIE, MR B THE GENTLEMAN RHYMER and many more.

The top 40 musical comedy acts were selected from online entries and are now battling it out in the quarter-finals at the Phoenix to get through to the Grand Final at The Bloomsbury Theatre on April 10th. Come along for an amazing Saturday afternoon of musical comedy entertainment and vote for your favourite six acts to progress through to the semi-finals!

Jess has recently been a 4* and 5* hit of the Edinburgh Festival with her show, Mighty Voice, which showcased her exceptional talent for singing, comedy and impressions.

She previously played the title role in the 2013 national tour of Little Voice, directed by Jim Cartwright himself.

As an actress Jess has appeared in both plays and musicals. She toured the country with Joan Collins playing her daughter in Full Circle and played Ophelia in Hamlet - The Musical! at Richmond Theatre. Other theatre credits include Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, Liesl in The Sound Of Music and the Queen Of Hearts for the Les Enfants Terribles production of Alice In Wonderland.

Jess has recorded numerous radio sitcoms and sketch shows for Radio 4, including; The Now Show, Fifteen Minute Musicals, The Castle and Newsjack. She can also be heard on several of the brilliant Doctor Who audio episodes.

On TV, Jess has appeared on such shows as; Dead Ringers, The Impressions Show, Spoof!, The Slammer and Scoop! for the BBC. She also co-wrote and starred in her own sketches for ITV's Comedy Cuts.
